Procurement Assistant Job Opening – S&A Industries

S&A Industries, Inc. is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Assistant to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our hotel and resort renovation projects through strategic sourcing and purchasing of high-quality materials, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

– Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies required for hospitality renovation projects

– Research and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and distribution capabilities

– Analyze price proposals and financial reports to track buying trends and manage expenditures

– Prepare and issue purchase orders and bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance

– Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers

– Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and purchase activity logs using MS Excel

– Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project managers to forecast material needs

– Analyze market trends and purchase data to support procurement decisions

– Resolve supplier issues, including delivery delays and quality concerns

– Support supplier audits and ensure contractual and quality compliance

Requirements

– Minimum 2 years of experience as a purchasing coordinator or similar role

– Proven ability to negotiate vendor pricing and manage supplier relationships

– Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking, inputting, and analyzing procurement data

– Demonstrated experience preparing pricing for bid packages and confirming contractual terms

– Excellent organizational and communication skills
